The Tsingtao Beer Museum, which combines ancient valuable collections with modern design, officially opened on August 15, 2003, on the centennial anniversary of Tsingtao Beer, and is located at No. 56 Dengzhou Road, the birthplace of Tsingtao Beer. As an important part of the century-old Tsingtao Beer corporate culture, the museum integrates the historical development, profound cultural heritage, advanced brewing processes, and entertainment, tasting, and shopping of Tsingtao Beer. It is a professional beer museum of national and international excellence, praised as the ‘banner of Chinese industrial tourism’ and a ‘deserving model of Chinese industrial heritage protection and utilization’.
The exhibition area of the Tsingtao Beer Museum covers more than 6,000 square meters and is divided into three exhibition areas: a hundred years of historical culture, the development of brewing technology, and experiencing the charm of beer. In the historical culture area, visitors can follow the timeline to understand the century-old history and culture of Tsingtao Beer, numerous honors, export, nationwide factory establishment, and the beer customs of Qingdao and its celebrities through detailed text and images, holographic images, and interactive videos.


The brewing process area displays the complete set of brewing equipment from a century ago and modern production line scenes of Tsingtao Beer. Each representative process in the production flow is equipped with video devices, contrasting the old and the new, to showcase the brewing process and the historical evolution of production. Among them, the traditional fermentation pool brewer Mr. Augut’s century-old greeting, the replication of the old laboratory scene, and the labor scene of workers turning malts, all recreate the original appearance of Tsingtao Beer’s production history.


Visitors can experience the modern filtration and packaging production lines, feeling the grandeur of the 4.0 modern production line.

In the beer charm experience area, surprises can be brought by technological and creative projects such as holographic projection, dynamic bicycles, drunken huts, and AR interaction. In the merchandise store, a variety of beer cultural creative products such as specialty beers, exclusive wine tools, various bottle openers, bottle chocolate, and delicious beer beans are available. The Tsingtao Beer Museum’s music restaurant on the first floor can accommodate nearly 200 people for dining, with authentic German roasted pork knuckles, German sausages, and local Qingdao seafood, as well as creative beer dishes.

The Tsingtao Beer Museum has created the 1903 Bread Workshop on Dengzhou Road Beer Street, using the century-old yeast of Tsingtao Beer to create a legend of new inheritance. With its beautiful environment, excellent service, and unique charm, it has attracted visitors from over 100 countries and regions, hosting more than 9.5 million tourists since its opening. Opening hours are from 08:30 to 16:30 from November 1st to April 30th; 08:00 to 20:30 from May 1st to June 30th; 07:30 to 21:00 from July 1st to August 31st; and 08:00 to 17:30 from September 1st to October 31st.



Preferential policies include: Children under 1.4 meters (inclusive) must be accompanied by an adult to enter; free for seniors aged 60 to 69 with valid ID (age verified by document birthday), and free for those aged 70 and above; discounted for full-time undergraduate students and below with student ID and ID; free for active-duty military personnel with military ID and ID; free for retired military personnel with retirement certificates and ID; free for firefighters with valid documents; free for disabled individuals with disability certificates and ID, who must register at the front desk; free for holders of the Shandong Talent Card with ID; and half-price tickets for veterans with valid discharge or honor cards, upon showing ID (only for the first gate of the scenic area).


Service facilities include a parking lot at the Tsingtao Beer Museum 1903 Music Restaurant Bar, free of charge; WiFi with the account ‘TSINGTAO’ and no password, covering the entire park; mobile charging stations at various locations such as the Malt Coffee, Visitor Center, second floor entrance of Pavilion A, Original Draft Beer Bar, Grand Bar, and Bakery; and luggage storage at the Visitor Service Center, free of charge. The museum also has a team of high-quality guides who can provide explanations in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. The standard charge for a Chinese guide for up to 10 people is 150 yuan for a 50-minute tour; for groups larger than 10, an additional 15 yuan per person is charged, and double the guide fee is paid for overtime.


Group tours for up to 10 people are charged at 200 yuan, with a 50-minute guided tour. For every additional person beyond 10, an extra 20 yuan is added per person, and overtime is charged at double the guide fee.


Tsingtao Beer Museum also provides self-guided audio devices available in Chinese and Korean, priced at 15 yuan per unit. Devices should be returned at the exit of the second-floor shopping area after use.

Restrooms: There are four restrooms within Tsingtao Beer Museum, located near the north side of the entrance courtyard, at the entrance of Hall A, the halfway bar, and near the exit large bar, all marked with conspicuous signs.


Nursing room: Located at the halfway bar within Tsingtao Beer Museum, available for free use by tourists.


Dining: There is one restaurant within Tsingtao Beer Museum, near the 1903 restaurant bar, marked with conspicuous signs. Payment can be made via WeChat and Alipay.


Convenience store: The scenic area has an unmanned supermarket convenience store along the street.
