Tudiyan in Jiangjin District, Chongqing is one of the most distinctive landscapes in the Simian Mountain Scenic Area, featuring unique Danxia landforms. The awe-inspiring cliffs, crafted by nature, attract countless visitors with their geological structures. It is a scenic spot that combines steep red cliffs, hundred-meter high waterfalls, secluded valleys, and ancient trees with exotic flowers.
On the observation deck of Tudiyan, there is a massive ‘Mythical Hidden Map’ with numerous circles and squares containing text, referred to by tourists as the ‘Divine Rock of Tudiyan’, and regarded as a place of love testimony. Tudiyan, measuring 163 meters wide and 56 meters high, appears as if a half-red cliff is reflected in the lake, with vivid patterns such as Afanti and Wan Juan Shu that capture the imagination of visitors.
Opposite Tudiyan is the 89-meter-high and 9-meter-wide Tudiyan Waterfall. The waterfall, resembling a pure white ceremonial scarf, hangs amidst green trees and red cliffs, surrounded by three sides of red cliffs that twist the silver falls into clusters of threads drifting down into the deep valley, forming a trapezoidal curtain of water. Whenever the sun is overhead, a rainbow spans the valley, creating a spectacular sight. The scenic area is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
