Wanghuolou is located at No. 45 Guanxiangyi Road, on the western slope of Guanxiang Mountain, and was constructed in 1905 with German craftsmanship. Initially, it was built for fire observation and alarm purposes.
Wanghuolou, with an octagonal shape, stands 16 meters tall and has a construction area of 170 square meters. Along the internal spiral staircase, there are several small windows embedded in the rough stone platforms. The eight granite columns at the top support the two-fold copper-roofed watchtower. It was once the highest point in Qingdao during the German occupation and is a landmark building of Qingdao. Opening hours: Open all day, every day from January 1st to December 31st.Wanghuolou Ruins
