Wang’s Ancestral Hall is the iconic ancient architecture of Huating Village. It was listed as a seventh batch of national cultural heritage protection units in May 2013. The hall consists of two parts: the main ancestral hall and the new hall, covering an area of approximately 1800 square meters. It was originally constructed during the Yuan Dynasty and serves as the ancestral hall for the descendants of Wang Xizhi. The existing structure was built in the seventh year of the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty by Wang’s descendants to commemorate Wang Qiong, the 36th generation descendant of Wang Xizhi, and his chaste wife, Shi. For specific visiting hours, please refer to the notices on-site.
