Wangtian Cave Scenic Area of Benxi National Geopark in Liaoning Province is located in Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, Liaoning Province. It forms a golden tourism route in eastern Liaoning together with Wunu Mountain, Huanlong Lake and Daya River Rafting.
Wangtian Cave Scenic Area is a great wonder of Huanren’s tourism. It is a national AAA-level tourist area and a national geopark. It got its name because the cave entrance is in the form of a skylight. When tourists look up from the bottom, they will have the feeling of holding the red sun in their arms and seeing the blue sky directly.
The Wangtian Cave Scenic Area is 15 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total area of 23 square kilometers. The cave was formed 200,000 years ago. The main cave is 5,635 meters long, making it the longest cave in the north of China. There are three underground rivers, 4,000 meters long in total, more than 30 water pools, and the water depth reaches 7 meters. There is a hall of more than 6,000 square meters in the cave, which can accommodate tens of thousands of people.
The maze in the cave is even more peculiar. It is known as “There is only one such maze in the north”. The main cave has the forms of corridor, hall and maze. There are numerous stalactites in the cave, crystal clear, like peaks, columns, forests, bamboo shoots, pagodas, Buddhas, flowers and waterfalls. There are countless rimstone dams, which are like terraced fields and the Great Wall. Their quantity and type rank first in China.
The stalactites in some places are still growing, with the growth rate ranking first in China. The “maze” in the cave has three floors: upper, middle and lower. There are holes within holes, and all the holes are connected. There are doors within doors, and all the doors are passable. It is circuitous and confusing. It is called by cave experts as “There is only one such maze in the north”.
In Wangtian Cave, the roads are winding, going up and down. There are holes within holes, and all the holes are connected. There are doors within doors, and all the doors are passable. Many roads in the maze are nested together, all similar, which brings great fun. Once inside, it is difficult to distinguish directions, full of interesting twists and turns. Each of those roads can lead out of the maze, but the scenes after getting out are different.
This is a real maze. Its scope is extremely large. Preliminary exploration shows that it is about 10,000 square meters. No one can count how many cave entrances it has. So far, no one has dared to finish walking through this maze… After investigation by experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it was confirmed that there is a 6,000-square-meter hall and a 10,000-square-meter maze with three floors (upper, middle and lower) in Wangtian Cave! The rare wonder in the north is in Huanren.
The wonderful and magical cave is truly remarkable. One peak pierces the sky, and two caves overlook the sky. Stalactites hang from the ceiling, and dragons seem to swim between the cliffs. The cave is in a fantasy world, and people seem to be in the mist.
