Wangwei Mountain, also known as Huanghui Mountain, stands at an elevation of approximately 725 meters, located at the border between Yuhang and Deqing. It is named Wangwei Mountain due to the historical event where Huang Chao, a Tang Dynasty figure, raised an army here and retreated to this location after his defeat, hence the name Wangwei Mountain.
Wangwei Mountain shares similar geomorphological features with Moganshan, but it is at least twice as large in area. The mountain is composed of granite, which dates back to 70 to 130 million years ago. It has been reported that a waterfall with a drop of 225 meters, known as the ‘Thrilling Pond’ waterfall, was discovered in Wangwei Mountain. Through crustal movements and natural weathering, Wangwei Mountain has formed cliffs and steep walls, with water cascading down from the mountain, creating spectacular waterfalls. The mountain is open to visitors all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.Wangwei Mountain: A Historical and Natural Attraction
