Wangxia Fort is an ancient fort located in Wangxia Mountain Municipal Park in Macau. The fort was built in 1849. Construction resumed in 1864 and was completed in 1866. It was not until 1960 that the fort ceased to be used. Later, it was transformed into a camp for non-Portuguese soldiers stationed in Macau. This place has now been transformed into Wangxia Mountain Municipal Park. The surrounding environment is very beautiful. The mountain roads are shaded by trees and filled with various flowers and plants. The Romanesque square, fountain, artificial lake, waterfall, promenade and other features here set off the ancient fort. It is a great place for tourism.
