The Wangxian Valley scenic area is located in Wangxian Township, Guangxin District, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is a national AAAA-level scenic area and belongs to the Lingshan Mountains. It is at the foot of the seventy-two peaks of Lingshan Mountain. The valley is distant and secluded, with gurgling streams, pebble waterfalls. There are rammed earth walls unique to Jiangxi folk houses, bluestone slab roads, yellow walls and black tiles, and original village houses.


There are also pine waves and bamboo seas and the unique streets of Gan families. In the Wangxian Valley scenic area, you can fully appreciate the folk customs, landscapes and humanities of Gan families. You can also fully experience China’s long farming culture, taste delicious food, and live a slow life for a few days. It is a good place for leisure vacations and parent-child study tours. Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:30 to 23:00; open from 08:30 to 22:30 on National Day.


Preferential policies: Children: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.2 meters (inclusive) in height are free; children with a height of 1.2 meters (excluding) to 1.5 meters (inclusive) are offered discounts. The elderly: Those aged 65 years old (inclusive) to 70 years old (excluding), with ID cards, are offered discounts; those aged 70 years old (inclusive) or above, with ID cards, are free.


National fire rescue personnel: With valid certificates, preferential prices. Active servicemen: With their own non-commissioned officer or officer certificates, are free. Disabled people: With the ‘Disability Certificate’ issued by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation, are free. Disabled soldiers, disabled militiamen and civilian workers, and disabled state organ staff: Disabled soldiers are issued with the ‘Disabled Soldier Certificate’ by the Ministry of Civil Affairs; disabled state organ staff are issued with the disabled state organ staff certificate; disabled militiamen and civilian workers are issued with the disabled militiamen and civilian workers certificate; disabled policemen are issued with the disabled people’s police certificate, and are free.


Veterans: With the original certificate of preferential treatment, preferential prices. Reporters: With the press card issued by the General Administration of Press and Publication (need to go through the free ticket registration procedures at the information desk of the tourist service center before entering the scenic area), are free. Tour guides: Those who hold the travel agency manager qualification certificate (issued by the National Tourism Administration), tour guide certificate (IC card), group leader certificate, and driver’s license A1 for accompanying drivers are only exempted from tickets when accompanying groups (enter the scenic area with their own valid certificates and group purchase forms of the scenic area).
