The Wangye Pavilion is located at a high place in Zhongshan Park, Huizhou City. It was originally named Wangye Pavilion. It was built in 1872 (the eleventh year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty) and underwent major renovations in 1959. The pavilion stands by the river, shaded by towering ancient banyan trees and flame trees. In summer, the river breeze blows gently, and fallen flowers are everywhere. In winter, the sun shines warmly, and the tree shadows are mottled. On the morning of October 16, 1925, a military-civilian get-together was held here. In the afternoon, a memorial service for the fallen soldiers who captured Huizhou was held. This pavilion was used as the main podium, and in front of the pavilion was the venue. People often come here to remember the revolutionary martyrs.
Opening hours: Open all day throughout the year.
