Wanshan Chaowang National Stone Desert Park is located at the southern foot of the Nanling Mountains, belonging to the key ecological function area for water conservation and biodiversity protection in the Nanling mountainous region. It serves as an important water conservation area for the northern circular ecological barrier of Guangdong Province and the upper reaches of the Beijiang River.
The park is characterized by its typical peak cluster depression landform and diverse karst features such as stone buds, caves, and sinkholes, earning the reputation of ‘Second Danxia’ with its beautiful karst landscapes.

It is rich in biodiversity, with key protected animals such as black kites, crested hawks, pine falcons, common buzzards, yellow-throated martens, and geckos, as well as ancient and famous trees like camphor, maple, and conical trees.
