The resort is located in Rushan City, known as the ‘hometown of longevity’ in Shandong Province. It is currently invested and developed by the holding company of Ribaix Group and Weihai Duofu Mountain Tourism Development Co., Ltd. The planned area is more than 10 square kilometers, and the estimated total investment is about 1.19 billion yuan. The scenic area started construction in 2009. In August 2012, it was rated as a national AAA tourist scenic area. On May 1, 2013, it officially opened to welcome visitors. It has been rated as a ‘longevity culture research base’ in Shandong Province. Duofu Mountain scenic area has a typical warm temperate marine climate with four distinct seasons, sufficient sunlight, no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. The annual average temperature is 12.3 degrees Celsius, making it one of the areas suitable for human habitation. Duofu Mountain has been a famous mountain of Buddhist and Taoist culture since ancient times and is known as ‘Little Mount Tai’. The Duofu Mountain temple fair is very famous in Jiaodong area and has great influence. It starts from the 15th day of the fourth lunar month every year and lasts for three days. People who come to the temple fair mainly come from Northeast China’s three provinces, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places. They come in an endless stream, and sometimes there can be as many as 100,000 people. During the temple fair, some people come to offer sacrifices and worship, some participate in performances, entertainment and other activities, and some conduct trade in local native products, Chinese herbal medicines and so on. Opening hours: From May 1 to October 31 (summer), it is open from 07:30 to 17:30; from November 1 to April 30 (winter), it is open from 07:30 to 17:00.
