Weihai Park is an important part of the environmental greening project of South Haibin Road. The park is located in the south of the central area of Weihai City on South Haibin Road. It starts from Sifang Road in the north and ends at Pingdu Road in the south, facing Weihai Bay. The total length of the park is 3218.6 meters, with an average width of 144.3 meters and a floor area of 465,000 square meters. The park is equipped with four theme scenic areas from north to south: Haiya, Hailian, Haisong, Haihui and a central cultural square. Weihai Park is built by the sea. The total length of the seawall is 3200 meters. It is constructed in three structural forms: large cylinders, large steps, and large slopes. There is a platform on the shore for sightseeing and experiencing the waves. In the middle of the park, there is a large cultural square with a length of 580 meters from north to south and an extension of 107 meters on the seawall revetment. Each square expresses themes with sculptures of different sizes and shapes, and sets off the sculptures with undulating and sparsely arranged greenery. Along both sides of South Haibin Road, the park forms two green belts. The green belt on the west side of the road is 30 meters wide, and a strip-shaped open park with a width of 70 meters is built on the east side of the road. The greening adopts the European tapestry method. With lawn as the keynote, evergreen tall trees are mainly planted. 130,000 large ginkgo trees, plane trees, cedars, metasequoias, etc. are planted, and more than 900,000 flowering shrubs. The entire project conducts overall environmental design in combination with roads, parks and buildings, forming a regional landscape where buildings, greenery, sculptures, revetments and the sea are interdependent and organically integrated, constituting a beautiful ecological coastal city picture.
