Weihai Shenyou Ocean World is a 500 million yuan investment by Huaxia Group, located on the north side of Huaxia City Scenic Area, creating the Shenyou Ocean Culture Museum project. It blends with the natural beauty of mountains and waters, forming a unique spectacle of sea within the mountains. The main building area is 23,000 square meters, including four parts: the vanished rainforest area, the ocean culture experience area, the polar scenery area, and the marine animal performance area. It houses a large number of characteristic and rare fish species, including endangered animals like the beluga whale. It also restores the enchanting and gorgeous ecosystem of China’s coral reefs, allowing visitors to deepen their understanding of marine geography and biology during their tour.
Weihai Shenyou Ocean World will add several interactive and entertaining projects, making full use of high-tech means such as sound, light, electricity, and mechanical lifting and rotation to create a virtual and real marine environment. It will realistically reproduce the scene of the mysterious tropical rainforest being submerged by floods to visitors. The dynamic flight cinema will let visitors feel the magical ocean culture in an ultra-thrilling experience, completely subverting the traditional single-exhibition model of ocean worlds.
Although the polar scenery area displays polar animals and their living environment is very cold, visitors will not feel cold when visiting the polar region. Visitors can watch animals through fully enclosed display windows, so there is no need to wear thick cotton clothes.
In addition to having beluga whales from Russia, fur seals from Uruguay, bottlenose dolphins from Japan, and white-browed penguins and Arctic foxes introduced from Antarctica, Weihai Shenyou Ocean World also has spotted seals from the Bohai Bay. It has introduced thousands of rare marine fish species, which are displayed from various angles through a fully transparent central pool. Visitors can get up close to performances such as human-shark dancing and thousands of fish fighting for food, making one feel like they are in a real underwater world.
