Wenguang Tower

Wenguang Tower is a seven-story pavilion-style stone tower of the Qing Dynasty in Chaoyang District. It was first built in 1131 AD (the first year of Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty). After collapsing and being rebuilt three times in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and being restored, it now maintains the appearance and appearance of the restoration in the Ming Dynasty. The tower is a seven-story pavilion-style stone tower with an octagonal plane. The tower is 42.3 meters high. The tower cavity is of the folded-up type within the wall. On the top of the door is a stone plaque with the three characters “Wenguang Tower” written by Tang Wenzao, the magistrate of Chaoyang in the Qing Dynasty, and a couplet. Wenguang Tower is a Ming-style brick and stone structure building with the fine characteristics of Ming Dynasty architecture.
