Wenzeng Road is located in the southwestern part of Xiamen Island, with a total length of 5.33 kilometers, running from north to south. It intersects with Xiahe Road and Houdai Creek Road at the northern end, proceeds along Wenping Road, crosses the Yu Ping Mountain Pass, passes by the west side of Shang Li Reservoir, and reaches Zeng Cuo at the southern end, where it intersects with Huandao Road. The area it traverses has a topography that is low on both sides and high in the middle, with a relative height difference of about 80 meters. It connects with existing urban roads in Xiamen at both ends and passes through Yu Ping Mountain Pass in the middle. The construction of Wenzeng Road is positioned as an ecological tourist route.
Wenzeng Road, which traverses mountains and hills, is built without destroying the natural vegetation on both sides, striving to maintain its original appearance. In terms of landscape art, it pursues a natural and simple style. Walking along the mountain path, one can see green mountains and bamboo, small bridges and flowing water, fences and wooden houses; the magical and peculiar ‘Odd Slope’, the tranquility of the forest with pastoral charm, and the poetic garden scenes along the way make one feel as if they have entered a beautiful picture scroll. Next to the ‘Odd Slope’ are artificial rocks and ditches built to prevent pedestrians from falling, along with a fitness trail paved with pebbles and strange rocks that evoke the imagination, giving a fresh and natural feeling.
