Blank is both a continuation and a reflection of Polychromes, the debut album released in 2021. While Polychromes predominantly painted beautiful dreams of self-anesthesia in a world of vivid colors, Blank is a desperate cry for nothingness in the waking world. The themes of this album are largely drawn from the experiences and observations of recent years. What remains after the cries for justice are gradually silenced and bleached away? Is it the suffocation under the boundless white fog, the burning scales of moths flying into the fire, or the silent roar repeated to face the cruel life? Or perhaps to simply drown in the false dreams of a bygone summer? We believe everyone has different answers in their hearts, and Benetnasch’s answers can be found in this album and our live performances.
About Benetnasch: Benetnasch hails from Beijing and was established in July 2019. Members include: Vocalist: Li Xingxing, Guitarist/Vocalist: Zhang Zelong, Bassist: Liu Yang, Tour Drummer: Jiang Zhiyuan. From the fireworks of summer nights to the drizzle of early spring, from the fragrance of gardenias to the flickering neon lights of urban nights, to the perpetual white fog shrouding the city skyline in the waking world, and the unreasonable malice within contemporary cyberspace, as well as the invisible yet insurmountable line between us and our desires. We hope to depict the extreme colors of dreams with musical notes to combat the harsh reality of black and white. Guest: Shallow Bay Killing, a band formed in June 2022, brought together by fate. The members have experienced confusion, bewilderment, hardship, and betrayal, but these have not shaken our original intentions, remaining rebellious and defiant. Heavy metal music is our weapon to denounce the injustices of the world. The event is open on December 14th, Saturday, with the performance starting at 20:00.
