The Wenzhou Grand Theatre is located in the administrative center area of Wenzhou City, to the east of Century Square and north of Shifu Road. Together with the museum, science and technology museum, and library, it forms a beautiful cultural corridor in the new urban area. The grand theatre is elaborately designed by the internationally renowned architectural design master, Mr. Carlos Ott from Canada. The architect takes the unique regional water feature in the Jiangnan area of China as the starting point. The ingenious conception is taken from the golden carp in the pond. The magnificent appearance features inclined side walls that are stacked layer by layer to form a sense of musical rhythm; the interlacing of solid walls and virtual glass further creates a unique sense of musical rhythm; the inclined walls are like an opened accordion, and the dynamically beautiful effect is generated under the balanced interaction with the curving and changing roof; the dreamy golden exterior wall further adds to the elegant temperament of the building. The main facilities of the grand theatre include a luxurious opera hall with 1425 seats (including locked ones), an elegant concert hall with 664 seats (including locked ones), and a multi-functional small theater with 150 seats. The grand theatre is equipped with a mechanically automated stage with smooth and reasonable technological design. Prop rooms, dressing rooms, waiting rooms and other facilities closely related to performances are arranged on the same floor as the stage plane. In addition, there are a ballet rehearsal hall, high-end VIP halls, exhibition halls, Chinese and Western restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 17:30. The business hours of the ticket office are from 09:00 to 17:30 when there is no performance. When there is a performance, the opening hours are from 9:00 to after the end of the performance. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day. Must-see tips: 1.
