Wenzhou Zoo is located in the beautiful Jingshan Park, covering an area of 284 mu and with an altitude of 150 meters. Standing on a high place, you can overlook the panoramic view of Lucheng. The zoo site is surrounded by peaks and ridges, with green pines and cypresses, lush bamboo forests, and gurgling streams. Mountain flowers are dotted all over the mountains and plains, and the sounds of birds and cicadas echo in between.


Wenzhou Zoo is designed according to the scale of a national second-class zoo. The animal exhibitions adopt a combination of advanced free-range and ecological cage forms at home and abroad. Currently on display are more than 100 kinds of rare wild animals from all over the world, including Cabot’s tragopan, rhinoceros, Arctic wolf, Asian elephant, giraffe, chimpanzee, golden monkey, mandrill, Siberian tiger, African lion, brown bear, hippopotamus, red panda, red-crowned crane, macaw, boa constrictor, and Chinese alligator, with nearly 800 in total.


The amusement park in the zoo is equipped with amusement projects such as bumper cars, pirate ships, fruit worm slides, carousels, and water balls. It also provides supporting service facilities such as free public toilets, self-service vending machines, fast food restaurants, rest corridors, and convenience service points. Wenzhou Zoo is currently a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a popular science education base in Zhejiang Province, an ecological environment education demonstration base in Zhejiang Province, an ecological moral education base in Zhejiang Province, a provincial youth civilized unit, and a civilized unit in Wenzhou City.


It has become a comprehensive zoo in southern Zhejiang that integrates functions such as sightseeing, popular science, scientific research, and wild animal protection.


Opening hours: Open from 08:30 to 17:30 from January 1st to December 31st. Admission stops at 17:00.

Preferential policies:


Children: Minors under 14 years old (excluding) and under 1.5 meters (excluding) are free; those aged 14 years old (including) to 18 years old (excluding) enjoy preferential treatment.


Elderly: Those aged 70 years old (including) and above are free; those aged 60 years old (including) to 70 years old (excluding) enjoy preferential treatment.


Active servicemen/fire rescue personnel/teachers/people with disabilities: Active servicemen, fire rescue personnel, teachers with 30 years of teaching experience, and people with disabilities can enter the park with valid certificates for free.


Students: Full-time undergraduate and below students enjoy preferential treatment.
