The West Coast Ski Resort in Qingdao is invested and constructed by Qingdao Let’s Go Skiing Club. It is located at the southwest gate of Qingdao West Coast Ecological Sightseeing Park, a national AAA-level scenic spot. It is a tourism project introduced to comply with the ice and snow economy and develop ice and snow sports. In the winter of 2023, it was officially put into operation by Qingdao Let’s Go Skiing Club. The ski resort covers an area of 40,000 square meters and is planned to have multiple characteristic functional areas such as the core skiing area, the snow-playing and entertainment area, the container market area, and the air dome operation hall. Among them, the ski slopes of the ski resort include one intermediate ski slope with a total length of 300 meters, one primary ski slope with a total length of 260 meters, and sixteen snow-playing slopes with a total length of 200 meters. The snow-playing paradise planned in the ski resort has more than ten characteristic amusement experience projects such as snow tank confrontation battles, snow spinning, ice bumper cars, snow rollers, snow zorb balls, sleds, sleighs, snowmobiles, ice bicycles, snowball fights, and snow rings. The ski resort is also planned to have a container market area, which can provide catering, delicious food, rest and other diversified services for ice and snow entertainment enthusiasts in a close and very convenient way. The creative operation hall of the ski resort adopts a large air dome structure, actively practicing the concept of green, low-carbon and environmental protection. At the same time, the giant silver ‘hot air balloon’ standing in the park will become another popular architectural check-in place in the West Coast New Area. The ski resort’s own planned parking lot can accommodate more than 400 vehicles to park at the same time. There are also multiple parking lots around the sightseeing park. There are multiple bus stops around, such as West Coast Sightseeing Park, West of West Coast Sightseeing Park, and Xinghaitan Road and Jiaozhou Bay East Road.
