West Street is the historical old street in Longquan City. It is named because it is located in the west of the urban area. It starts from Xinhua Street in the east and ends at Zhongshan Road in the west. It runs from east to west with a total length of 1417 meters. The Yunshui Canal – ‘Guanzhen’ flows through along the street. The important historical and cultural relics on West Street include Yunshui Canal, Xiehou Temple, Yongfu Society, Catholic Church, Wushi Nunnery, Cai Family’s Big House, Zhou Family’s Big House, Yunyan Ancestral Society, Zhou Family’s Big House, etc.
The historical buildings in the entire block are mainly traditional buildings such as brick-wood structure and all-wood structure. Most of them are two stories high.
