Xi Fang Temple is nestled in the ancient village of Kwai Tsing, Hong Kong, with the backdrop of Tai Mo Shan Mountain and facing the serene San Die Tan. Surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil waters, the temple offers a peaceful and serene environment.
The central structure of the temple is a two-story replica of a Chinese palace, known as the Mahavira Hall. The ground floor is the ‘Wu Guan Hall’, which serves as the vegetarian dining hall. In front of this stands the ‘Heavenly Kings Hall’, which enshrines the Maitreya Buddha and the Four Heavenly Kings, with the ‘Bell Tower’ and ‘Drum Tower’ on either side.
At the rear of the temple, there is a nine-story ‘Ten Thousand Buddhas Pagoda’. Additionally, the temple complex includes the ‘Sutra Repository’, ‘Maitreya Hall’, and ‘Ksitigarbha Hall’. The temple also preserves a large-scale cloisonné Guanyin statue, which is quite rare in China.
Opening hours and specific business status are subject to the temple’s daily operations. The temple has accessible facilities, including accessible parking and entrances.
