As Christmas approaches, small animals play in the snowy winter, huddle together for warmth, and fill the cold season with warm laughter. This winter, Qi Liang Gallery cordially invites you to visit North Point Exchange Phase I from November 4th to enjoy a series of recent works by artist Chen Zijun, aiming to highlight the importance of animal protection through heartwarming scenes. Adorable animals appear in various winter settings, some frolicking in snow-covered forests, others enjoying feasts in cozy rooms. Chen Zijun has deliberately chosen animals such as rabbits and foxes, which are often used for fur materials, to draw public attention. She believes that these creatures should live freely in nature, not becoming victims of fashion accessories. With the addition of Christmas elements, she hopes to use the festive atmosphere to make the audience understand that small animals also have the right to family reunions and a good life, arousing empathy and prompting reflection on human exploitation of animals, reducing the purchase and use of fur products. Chen Zijun’s smooth brush strokes and vivid compositions bring the animals in her paintings to life, stirring a desire to protect in viewers. Chen Zijun hopes that these paintings will lead more people to appreciate the lives that humans have forgotten. Only by cherishing nature and appreciating life can we build a more compassionate and beautiful society. The exhibition is open from November 4th to January 6th, 10:00-22:00, with performance times and durations subject to the venue.
