Wofo Temple is located 25 kilometers north of Anyue County in Sichuan Province, specifically in Wofo Gully of Bama Township. The area is characterized by its meandering mountains, clear lake waters, and lush bamboo groves, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. During the Tang Dynasty, a grand Wofo Temple was constructed here. Although the temple has since been destroyed, the legacy remains in the form of 1,613 statues from the prosperous Tang era, 15 caves of stone inscriptions, and numerous inscriptions, epitaphs, pagodas, and images of mythical beasts across the nearly 1-kilometer long Wofo Gully and on cliffs approximately 20 meters high. The sculpture area spans 865 meters with 142 niches. The site is open all year round from 09:00 to 18:00.
