The museum is a two-level patriotic education base in Taizhou and Jiaojiang. Located on the west side of Taizhou Civil Square, it covers an area of more than 7,000 square meters. It was founded by Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts, Wu Zixiong, and is unique for its use of a grinding wheel as a pen to paint on glass. The museum highlights the combination of dynamic and static elements, shopping and tourism, as well as education and appreciation.
It embodies modern civilization and ancient traditions, integrating Eastern and Western cultures. The glass art pieces within are treasures of the Chinese national arts and crafts. As one of China’s glass art museums, it will become a window for Taizhou’s opening up and promotion, and a great place for tourism and sightseeing in Taizhou. The museum houses more than a thousand precious glass art pieces created over 40 years, and being in the museum is like wandering in a dreamlike crystal art world, allowing one to fully experience the pleasure of ‘the light of heaven and the shadows of clouds lingering together. ‘ Its establishment marks a new starting point for the world-renowned glass carving art. Related knowledge: Wu Zixiong’s glass carving works organically blend the soft and delicate ink painting art of the East with the bold and broad-stroke oil painting art of the West, forming his unique glass carving style. He has been invited to more than 30 countries such as the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany for inspections, visits, performances, and exhibitions, and has been well-received wherever he goes. The museum is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:00; closed all day on Mondays. Specific opening hours are subject to on-site announcements at the scenic spot.
