Wuma Street is a renowned commercial street in Wenzhou City, located in the southern part of the ancient city area. It starts from Jiefang South Road in the east and connects to Chan Street in the west, with a total length of 424 meters, lined with various shops. The street was named after the great calligrapher Wang Xizhi, who was the governor of Yongjia (the ancient name of Wenzhou) and often traveled in a carriage drawn by five horses. During the renovation, Wuma Street preserved its original architectural style, which combines Chinese and Western elements, along with landmarks such as Wuweihe Grocery Store, Jin Sanyi Silk and Cloth Shop, and Laoxiangshan Pharmacy. The sculptures along the street are distinctive, and the building designs exhibit Western influences. The street is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
