Touring the Xiaoxiaxia Gorges is done by boat, taking approximately 4 hours. The scenic area boasts a variety of steep ridges and strange peaks, ever-changing clouds and mist, clear and elegant waterfalls and springs, mysterious and unpredictable overhanging cliffs and ancient caves, lush and thriving forests and bamboo forests, making it an exquisitely crafted natural bonsai; there are playful monkey troops climbing trees and rocks, paired mandarin ducks, various waterfowl flying, and a variety of fish swimming in clear waters, with the cheerful songs and laughter of birds in the trees always within earshot, making it a well-deserved scenic zoo; there are ancient Ba people’s hanging coffins, boat coffins, and ancient stockades, which are precious historical relics. The unique gorge scenery, where natural and cultural landscapes are integrated, makes it a shining pearl on the golden tourist waterway of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. The main scenic spots of Xiaoxiaxia Gorges include: Longmen Gorge, Longmen Bridge, Longmen Ancient Stockade, Writing Rock, Green Lion Guarding the Door, Lingzhi Peak, Fairy Throwing Embroidered Ball, Immortal Peach Peak, Lion Peak, Guanyin Sitting on the Lotus Platform, Bajie Worshiping Guanyin, Hanging Coffin, White Snake Drilling Hole, Dicui Gorge, Ox Liver Horse Lungs, Cliff Buddha Statues, Heavenly Spring Flying Rain, Luojia Stockade, Madu River, Ascending to Heaven Peak, Golden Monkey Peak, Red Cliff Touching the Sky, Boat Coffin, Two Eagles Playing on the Screen, and Flying Cloud Cave, etc. Xiaoxiaxia Gorges, the sister gorge of Xiaoxiaxia Gorges, is called ‘Xiaoxiaxia Gorges’ because it is smaller than Xiaoxiaxia Gorges. Wushan Xiaoxiaxia Gorges is known for its narrower waterways, more precipitous mountains, and deeper gorges. Within Xiaoxiaxia Gorges, there are many strange peaks, mountains and waters reflecting each other, beautiful scenery, cliffs facing each other, towering thousands of feet, narrow waterways, and a sky that opens up a line, revealing an irresistible temptation of the mountains and fields.
