Introduction: The museum houses precious antiques such as pottery from the Shang Dynasty, bronze tripods from the Western Zhou Dynasty, pottery cups and weights from the Han Dynasty, bronze mirrors from the Tang Dynasty, famous porcelain and inkstones from the Song Dynasty, coiled dragon jade belts, suet jade crowns, and calligraphy and paintings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is known as the ‘number one museum’ among county-level museums in China.
The exterior of the museum is a modern building with a typical Huizhou architectural style. It is open for free. However, remember to bring your ID card. You need to register and get a ticket when entering. There are six special exhibition halls in the museum’s exhibition hall, namely ‘A Thousand Years in Wuyuan’, ‘Beautiful Tea Utensils’, ‘Treasures of Crafts’, ‘Pearl of Inkstone Country’, ‘Calligraphy and Paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties’, and ‘Contemporary Art’. Here, you can deeply understand the cultural and historical features of Wuyuan and admire the rich collection of cultural relics.
