Xi Shi Hill, located 1.2 kilometers northeast of the Wu Yun Gate in the urban area of Shaoxing, is also known as Tu Cheng Hill or Beauty Palace, reputed to be the place where Xi Shi practiced walking. Bronze plows, hoes, pickaxes, and sickles have been unearthed here, along with fragments of primitive celadon, stamped hard pottery, and black-skinned gray pottery.

Next to Xi Shi Hill, beside the Buddha-chanting Bridge, a cultural layer 0.4 meters thick was discovered 2 meters below the surface, yielding bronze swords, spears, iron spears, and fragments of primitive celadon, stamped hard pottery, and black-skinned gray pottery.
