Xia Guan Town, historically known as Zhen Xiaguan, derives its name from the early Ming Dynasty when Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang dispatched troops to defend against Japanese pirates, hence the inclusion of the character ‘Zhen’ which means ‘town’.
This location boasts blue and white hilltop buildings, windmills converted from granaries on nearby mountaintops, a rainbow road, and artificial beaches, all set in a beautiful environment that is truly refreshing and uplifting.
It is open all year round from January 1st to December 31st, accessible 24 hours a day.
