Rainforest World is located within the Xiamen Botanical Garden, emerging as a new and popular botanical garden destination. The scenic area boasts many ancient and rare trees, with majestic trunks reaching tens of meters high, and lush foliage. The aerial roots of some ancient trees drape down from the trunk, resembling Santa Claus’s beard. Here, visitors can observe unique tropical rainforest phenomena such as raindrop tips, strangler figs, and flowers blooming from old stems.
Rainforest World has constructed a fogging system and sprinkler equipment, which are activated on a schedule to improve environmental conditions and create a humid and foggy atmosphere reminiscent of a rainforest. During the misting period, moisture fills the air, creating an ethereal and fairyland-like ambiance. Under the sunlight, visitors can also witness the mist refracting into rainbows, adding to the dreamy experience.
The attraction is open all year round from 07:30 to 17:45, with the best time to view the misting effects being from 9:30 to 11:30 and 14:30 to 17:00.
