A group of bronze sculptures composed of 99 marathon runners and cheerleaders is seated along the scenic route of Xiamen’s Ring Island Road. The dynamic running postures of the athletes are captured in these magnificent sculptures. Each sculpture stands approximately 2 meters tall and is crafted from bronze, using realistic artistic techniques.
The sculpture group is divided into three sections: the first section features professional athletes, depicting their determined expressions and dynamic movements as they sprint towards the finish line; the second section consists of professional and a few non-professional athletes, highlighting their relentless pursuit and fighting spirit; the third section focuses on non-professional athletes, emphasizing their spirit of participation.

A touching scene from the event, an elderly person in a wheelchair being pushed by relatives to participate in the race, is also immortalized in the sculptures. The sculptures are open to the public all year round, with full-day access.
