The Xiamen Science and Technology Museum is an advanced comprehensive science and technology museum in China. It is also a popular parent-child tourist destination in China and is known as the ‘Science Disneyland’. The museum has five themed exhibition halls, 400 interactive experience projects, and three dynamic cinemas. It attracts more than one million visitors every year.
As soon as you enter the ‘Prologue Hall’, you can see the treasure of the museum – the water clock. It is a timekeeping device powered by water. The design combines the escapement mechanism invented by Su Song, a scientist from Xiamen in the Northern Song Dynasty.
Entering the ‘Exploration Hall’, a new adventure is about to begin: indulging in the constantly changing and passing cosmic galaxy in the popular exhibit – the space-time tunnel; truly experiencing the hair-raising effect on the open electromagnetic stage; getting lost in the huge mirror maze…
And the moment you step into the ‘Creation Hall’, it seems as if you have come to the future world – watching robots dance, playing chess with robots, and having robots draw portraits for you… There is also the highly popular light and shadow world: the beautiful and colorful sea of flowers, the unique firework fountain created by gestures, and discovering a shadow world endowed with ‘life’…
From entering the ‘Harmony Hall’, an experience space full of technology and a sense of the future immediately presents itself. Through immersive real-life adventures of the human body, vivid and rich three-dimensional animations, and interesting physical fitness tests, you can explore the secrets of the human body from the cells.
When you come to the ‘Ocean Hall’, be prepared with a curious heart and an active mind. Because here there is not only an underwater world that can give full play to your imagination, but also magical and interesting VR underwater adventures and AR surfing experiences.
Walking to the second floor’s ‘Children’s Hall’ is like opening a Pandora’s box, full of endless fun: witnessing with your own eyes how magic rain overcomes gravity and flows back up from bottom to top, experiencing the exhilaration of sliding from a large slide into the ball pit, and also seeing the small balls in the small ball kingdom climb gears and suspend… showing off their unique skills.
In addition to the five themed exhibition halls, there are also three cinemas in the science and technology museum. The dream theater with a combination of virtual and real, the 4D飞越影院 with a strong sense of story, and the 720Rider cinema with a sufficient sense of experience.
