The Xiamen Sports Center was built in 1983 and is located in the eastern section of Hubin North Road, covering an area of 21 hectares. The entire center has mountains at its back and faces a lake. It features a beautiful environment with shady trees and fragrant flowers. Decorated with sculptures and architectural ornaments, it has the characteristics of a sports park.
The central stadium covers an area of 5 hectares. It has a standard athletics field with 30,000 spectator seats, a standard floodlit football field, and supporting facilities such as a large electric timing and scoring electronic display screen.
The badminton training hall covers an area of 3,700 square meters. There are 24 training courts and corresponding service facilities inside. Currently, it is the largest badminton training hall in China. The Xiamen Wang Wenjiao Badminton Training Center is located in this hall.
The basketball and volleyball training hall covers an area of 3,100 square meters. There are two basketball and volleyball training courts inside, along with a movable grandstand with 1,500 spectator seats, hydraulic electric basketball hoops, and an electronic scoring board. In addition, there are activity areas for fitness, table tennis and billiards of 500 square meters on the second floor.
The tennis court covers an area of 4,500 square meters and is composed of a salon tennis court and a central tennis court. There are a total of five courts meeting international competition requirements, and it is equipped with a 1,200-square-meter lounge. There is a grandstand with 400 spectator seats on the second floor.
The Xiamen Sports Center Tennis Management Center, established in 1998, currently has seven outdoor tennis courts and two indoor tennis courts. It not only meets the activities of tennis enthusiasts but also undertakes various types of tennis competitions.
The opening hours for external visits are all day. The opening hours of the venues are from 8:00 to 20:30.
