The Shimao Strait Tower, also known as the Xiamen Twin Towers, is one of the iconic urban landscapes of Xiamen. It consists of two separate towers connected by a podium. The exterior resembles beautiful sails and incorporates the visual elements of the city flower of Xiamen, the Bougainvillea. These two super high-rise buildings, each approximately 300 meters tall, serve different purposes; one functions as a luxury hotel and office building, while the other is designated for SOHO offices. The podium is developed into a comprehensive commercial complex that includes shopping, leisure, entertainment, and dining.
The main feature of the Xiamen Twin Towers is its 55th-floor Cloud Top Xiamen Observation Deck. With a 360-degree panoramic view, you can walk in the sky, gaze at Gulangyu Island, overlook Xiamen University, Sha Po Wei, and Wan Shi Botanical Garden, capturing the entire charm of the Egret Island. The hall also features a coffee lounge, selling various specialty souvenirs and handicrafts, making it a must-visit landmark in Xiamen.
It is open all year round, with detailed opening hours for internal attractions available at the scenic spot’s notice board.
