Xiamen University Human Museum: A UNESCO-Recognized Museum

Located within Xiamen University, the Xiamen University Human Museum is a renowned museum recognized by UNESCO (one of 137 museums selected in China) and is a specialized anthropology museum. Preparations began in 1952, and it officially opened in March 1953.
The museum features seven exhibition halls and a stele corridor, housing a collection of artifacts from the Paleolithic Age to the Qing Dynasty, as well as cultural relics from ethnic minorities, Southeast Asian ethnic groups, and the customs of Southern Fujian.


Additionally, it displays a series of models illustrating the evolution from apes to modern humans and the stele corridor. These collections hold significant archaeological reference value and are worth visiting.
Opening hours are all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, 08:30-11:30 and 14:30-17:30.
