Xiajingwan is located along the Huandao East Road beach in Siming District, within the island of Xiamen. South of the Xiang’an Tunnel, it is close to the Guanyinshan Dreamland and faces Jinmen Island across the sea to the east. The azure sky merges with the sea, creating a picturesque scene of sea and sky as one. The boundless tidal flats, crescent-shaped fishing boats, and orderly arranged oyster and mussel fields are the livelihood of the local fishermen.
Xiajingwan’s tidal flat activities, such as net fishing, ground cage, and train cage for catching crabs and shrimp, are somewhat similar to those on Xiaojing Island. Yet, situated in the urban area of Xiamen, it offers a unique fishing village flavor away from the city hustle, making it a wonderful travel experience. Moreover, this place is frequented by some well-known marine life, increasing the likelihood of encountering these magical creatures during our beach activities.
