The Xiang’s Ancestral Hall, built in the fifth year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty, covers an area of about 2167 square meters. During the Jiajing period, Xiang Qiao expanded it and advocated respecting ancestors, honoring ancestors and uniting the clan. He established the ‘Xiang’s Family Precepts’. The original ancestral hall was destroyed by Japanese pirates. It was rebuilt in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The ancestral hall faces east on the street with five bays and three entrances. At the first entrance is a gate tower. On the upper floor, there is the ‘Xiang Qiao Memorial Hall’.
