Xiangpai Village is located in Guyi Village, Guxiang Town, Chao’an District, Chaozhou City. It is about 8 kilometers east from the ancient city of Chaozhou. The ancient village was established in 1262 AD, the third year of Jingding in the Southern Song Dynasty. It has a history of nearly a thousand years. It is a trading port in the prosperous period of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is also one of the ancient villages with a long history and complete preservation in eastern Guangdong. In December 1987, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Chaozhou City. In December 2009, it was announced as an ancient village in Guangdong Province by Guangdong Province.
