The ‘Xiangxue Meihai’ rural leisure tourism area is located in Dongcun Village, Wangtan Town, known as the ‘hometown of green plums in China’. Situated in the south of Shaoxing County, it is adjacent to Shangyu in the east and Shengzhou in the south. It is 35 kilometers away from the urban area and the provincial highway Shaogan Line passes through. The planned total area of the scenic area is 3.4 square kilometers. It consists of five functional blocks: entrance service area, Xiangxue Meihai area, Baihe Xianzong area, mountain village style area, and secluded valley experience area. Featuring thousands of mu of green plum forests and natural landscapes, it is like a pearl on Shaoxing’s natural tourism line. It is an ideal place for enjoying flowers in spring, enjoying the cool in summer, picking fruits in autumn, and walking on snow in winter. The scenic area has a large plum garden with a single contiguous area in China, known as the ‘ten-mile plum corridor’. There are scenic spots such as Bai Mei Garden, exploring plum blossoms for victory, secluded paths under plum blossoms, autumn persimmons reflecting plum blossoms, childhood sweethearts, climbing steps to explore plum blossoms, fishing at the goose pond, Xiangxue Meihe River, plum blossom broiling by the Mei River, discussing heroes over wine, and tracing the origin of ancient trees. Every February and March in early spring, plum blossoms all over the mountains and plains bloom competitively, competing in beauty with auspicious snow.The ten-mile plum garden transforms into a sea of flowers and a sea of snow. Wandering through this enchanting landscape, one is surrounded by a vision that is both like snow and like the sea, with waves and billows of blossoms. It is a scene of extreme beauty, akin to being in paradise, and the spectacle is truly breathtaking.
The garden is open all year round and throughout the day, offering a chance to appreciate this natural wonder at any time. However, it is worth noting that the plum blossoms typically bloom in February and March each year, making the scenery particularly spectacular during those months.
