Xiangyan Temple, located in Bai Fenggao Village, Fengjiang Town, was originally named Chanlin Temple. The temple was first established in the first year of the Tang Dynasty’s Kaiyuan era, flourished during the Northern Song Dynasty’s Da Zhen Xiangfu period, and was restored by Master Tingnian in the 28th year of the Qing Dynasty’s Qianlong era. The existing halls were constructed in the 11th year of the Qing Dynasty’s Xianfeng era, were destroyed, and were reconstructed after the 11th Central Committee’s third plenary session.
Xiangyan Temple now features the Mahavira Hall, the Jade Buddha Hall, and more than fifty other rooms, making it a popular place for local residents to burn incense and worship Buddha.Xiangyan Temple
