The Xianmen Qixia tourist scenic area is located within the territory of Luoyang Town, Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, Shaoguan City. It is 28 kilometers away from Ruyuan County seat, only 70 kilometers away from Shaoguan High-speed Railway Station, and only 170 kilometers away from Guangzhou. The planned area covers more than 20 square kilometers. It is one of the core scenic areas of the Nanling Mountains.
With lush vegetation and excellent ecology, it has many rare animals, plants and mountain and water resources. It is a diversified tourist and leisure scenic area integrating cultural education, sports and entertainment, tourism, study tours, leisure and health preservation, and health and vacation resorts. Zhang Jiuling, the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, once visited here and was attracted by the beautiful mountains and landscapes along the way. At present, the scenic area is actively creating a AAAA-level scenic area.The terrain of the Xianmen Qixia scenic area is not high, large, or unrivaled in China compared with many natural mountain and river scenic spots. However, it combines the wonders of Tianmen Mountain, the danger of Huashan Mountain, the beauty of Lijiang River, and the uniqueness of Jiuzhaigou. It has the world’s first gate – Xianmen, the world’s second stone – Yangyuan Stone, the world’s third cave – Shuiliandong, the world’s fourth palace – underwater Dragon Palace, the world’s fifth pool – with a long history, the world’s sixth road – Xijing Ancient Road, the world’s seventh view – Yuanmiao Taoist Temple, the world’s eighth bridge – Xianren Bridge, the world’s ninth rafting – Couple Gorge rafting, and the world’s tenth scenery – the divine tree in the rock.
At the same time, the scenic area also has many beautiful and charming characteristic scenic spots such as Moon Bay, Linghou Mountain, God of Wealth Cave, Tongxin Magpie Bridge, and Xianren Waterfall, which make people intoxicated and linger.
Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:30 on Mondays to Fridays throughout the year; open from 08:30 to 17:30 on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year; open from 08:30 to 17:30 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
Preferential policies: Active servicemen/disabled people: Special/First-class/Second-class disabled people with disability certificate + ID card, active servicemen with military certificate + ID card, free. Children: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.2 meters in height (inclusive), free; children with height from 1.2 meters (inclusive) to 1.4 meters (exclusive), preferential tickets.
Supplementary note: The above preferential policies only refer to the scenic area’s main entrance ticket. There are no free tickets for bamboo rafts and slides in the scenic area.
