Xianpu Cave is a rare gem for adventure tourism and geological science education, featuring caves within caves, springs within caves, waterfalls within caves, and pools beneath waterfalls. It is a marvel of nature’s craftsmanship, offering unparalleled beauty and danger.

Xianpu Cave is a large-scale underground karst cave formed by collapse and dissolution. The limestone within the cave is distributed at an altitude of 520-750 meters and has been shaped by the erosive action of underground rivers into three chambers, five halls, and one pool, covering an area of over 2800 square meters. The multi-layered underground river system has deposited modern carbonate sediments such as stone flowers and stone corals, deep erosion corridors, a 73-meter-high waterfall, and a deep pool covering an area of 600 square meters. These features give Xianpu Cave a unique charm among the large and medium-sized caves open to the public across the country.

Among the cave’s wonders, there are two stalactites that strikingly resemble a dragon and a tiger, leading to the local nickname of Dragon-Tiger Cave. Additionally, there are two towering stone pillars that are truly spectacular. At the top of a back staircase, a small platform allows visitors to look down to the bottom of Xianpu Cave, but the mist creates an illusion of a bottomless pit, making one feel as if they are in a fairyland.

The cave is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
