The Xianqi Cave scenic area is 100 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. It is a new scenic spot developed in recent years. The Xianqi Cave is more than 4,000 meters long and is divided into upper, middle and lower three layers. Inside the cave, there are deep and extensive halls. In the spring of 1998, Xianqi Cave was opened by an enthusiastic collective in Guanshang Village. Immediately, it caused a sensation everywhere and was happily called ‘Stone Flower Palace’, ‘Deep Cave’, ‘Firmament Cave’ and ‘One Cave Heaven’. Subsequently, a wandering eminent monk from Mount Wutai who was looking for a place to practice came to the cave and exclaimed in astonishment: ‘Good! Good! There are people above people, there is a sky beyond the sky, and there are caves within caves. Here, ‘immortals gather in groups’. We are humble. Amitabha…’. Since then, it has been named ‘Xianqi Cave’ and made public. The Dongguanshang area is composed of multiple isolated cave bodies to form a cave group. Such concentration, such a large scale and so many landscapes are truly rare. It can be compared with China’s four famous caves: ‘Shihua Cave’ in Fujian, ‘Ludi Rock’ in Guilin, ‘Yaolin Cave’ in Hangzhou and ‘Qianzhen Cave’ in Beijing.
