Yandang Mountain features more than a dozen scenic spots referred to as ‘doors’, with Xianxingmen being the most prominent. Located in the northern part of Yandang Mountain, the main attraction, Xianxingmen, is known as the ‘Number One Door in the World’. If Xianxingmen is known for its ‘dynamic’ aura, then the Fu Tou Stream and Songpo Stream within the scenic area perfectly contrast it, exuding a soft and relaxed atmosphere. The harmony of the spirit of the landscape here creates an infinite scenery. Xianxingmen, also known as ‘Xian Shengmen’, has two towering cliffs reaching 200 meters high with a distance of only a few meters apart. Walking along the winding stone path into the door and looking up, the cliffs meet at the top, leaving only a thin line, creating an intense effect that is dizzying and not suitable for long stays. Further inside, the sheer cliffs enclose, with the murmuring stream beneath, creating a deep and serene environment. The scenic area also boasts rare cultural and natural landscapes: at the entrance of the scenic area, there is the Nan Ge Archway Group with Ming Dynasty architectural style, which is simple and majestic; one of the largest existing tombs in Yueqing City – Zhang Lun’s Tomb, as well as natural scenery such as the San Shui Waterfall, and the Stone Buddha Cave among the cliffs of Xianxingmen, where the accumulated stalactites resemble three Buddha statues. The scenic area is open all year round from 07:30 to 17:00. Preferential policies include free admission for children under 1.2 meters (inclusive), seniors aged 70 and above (inclusive) with valid identification, people with disabilities with valid identification, and active-duty military personnel with valid identification.
