Xianxia Ancient Path was established during the Qin and Han dynasties and was further expanded during the Tang Dynasty when Huang Chao’s rebel army marched into Fujian. It is known as the ‘Southeast Key’ and ‘Throat of Entering Fujian’, being the official land route from Zhejiang to Fujian in ancient times. Since the Southern Song Dynasty, many literati have wandered here, leaving behind thousands of poems and essays, earning the reputation of the ‘Southern Song Poetry Road’.
