Outside the worship hall of this mosque, there are two relatively flat open squares and grasslands, which can accommodate more than 12,000 people to worship at the same time. Coupled with the capacity of 3,000 people in the newly built worship hall, currently, Xianxian Ancient Mosque can provide a place for more than 15,000 people to worship. It will provide a spacious place for believers from Asia and all over the world to worship and gather. There is also a stone tablet engraved with the words ‘Stele Inscription for Rebuilding Xianxian Ancient Tomb and Constructing Worship Hall’ standing with black marble. The inscription on the stone tablet briefly records this: Wankesu was entrusted by the sage in the early years of the Tang Dynasty in China to introduce Islam to China. Later, he ‘passed away’ (i.e., returned to the truth) and was buried at the Xianxian Ancient Tomb. Since then, all Islamic people who come here take pride in ‘visiting the tomb and worshipping’. They ‘prostrate and worship outdoors’. Moreover, this tomb has been rebuilt many times since the Ming and Qing dynasties.
