Xiao Donghai is a small bay located to the southwest of Da Donghai. Like most of the beaches in Sanya, it boasts coconut groves, clean beaches, and clear seawater. Compared to Da Donghai and Yalong Bay, fewer people are aware of it, which has helped maintain a more peaceful environment.
The Xiao Donghai waters are a protected coral reef area, with an abundance of beautiful and rich coral communities and tropical fish beneath the sea. However, the beach has a higher concentration of reef rocks and coarser sand quality compared to Da Donghai, making many areas unsuitable for swimming. Snorkeling is a good alternative, but most visitors come here to enjoy the tranquility. The area is open all year round from 9:00 to 16:00.
