Xiao Gang Zen Temple is located about a hundred meters east of the Yu Family Ancestral Hall. It was reconstructed in 1825 during the reign of Emperor Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. In 1888 during the Guangxu period, it was renovated again through the efforts of Shan Ming. The current structure includes the main hall and side rooms.
