The ‘Xiao Longren’s AR Dragon Quest’ project adheres to the guiding principle of ‘education through entertainment’. By leveraging AR (Augmented Reality) technology and setting the experience in the ancient town of Huanglongxi, it introduces an AR intelligent parent-child ancient town tour that combines online tech-based challenges with offline real-life Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) experiences. This creates a new way of traveling through ancient towns with AR technology—’Xiao Longren AR Dragon Quest’.
Upon arrival at the gathering point for ‘Xiao Longren’s AR Dragon Quest’, children receive their tasks and enter the AR world using their smartphones, following NPCs AR to complete challenges. Along the way, there are hidden real-life NPCs who guide the ‘Xiao Longren’ through exclusive ICH experiences. This integrates online AR technology with offline practical experiences, unlocking the next level only after completing each challenge. The entire journey is in AR reality, with a strong sense of interactivity and experience. After completing the grand quest, children can earn badges and rewards!

This project not only incorporates AR technology experiences but also connects with local traditional ICH science popularization, agricultural culture science popularization, and historical culture explanations. It stimulates children’s desire to explore and curiosity, exercises their observation, endurance, and physical strength, and creates a new AR actual outdoor exploration base for children aged 3-15. The project is open all year round from 09:30 to 18:00.
