Xiaochangtushan is located in Changtu Town, Daishan County. It is an irregular rectangle and runs from east to west. Separated by Daishan waterway from Daishan Island in the west. Its land area is 10.92 square kilometers. The highest point is Gao’ao Mountain with an altitude of 299.6 meters. The coastline is 25.23 kilometers long. The coastline is tortuous with many bays and tidal flats. The island is rich in tourism resources. There are Chuandeng Nunnery built in the Qing Dynasty, Xihezui Lighthouse and the sight of ‘groups of porpoises worshipping the river’. After the Mid-Autumn Festival every year, groups of porpoises will swim back here for more than a month. From time to time, groups of porpoises emerge from the water surface and spray water columns 2 to 3 meters high, presenting a magnificent spectacle. Opening hours: open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
